Molluscum Contagiosum Treatment?

I was diagnosed by a licensed dermatologist that I have Molluscum Contagiosum in my genital area. She went through scraping and removing process that was equal parts painful and ineffective. Although the original sores were removed they quickly spread out further and now are threatening to start climbing the shaft of my penis. I was wondering the best method of removal without having to return to the woman who mutilated me with no results. Thanks.
