What do you think of people clearing evidence on crime they did based on what they saw on CSI and crime shows?
I spent twelve years in Homicide and six years as a crime scene supervisor. These shows are great entertainment, but no where near the truth. Star Trek is more real to life than these shows are. Anyone who relies on what he or she learns about law enforcement, and forensic science in particularly, from a TV show, is a fool. Unfortunately, the "CSI effect" has altered the way some juries look at criminal prosecutions. there is not HARD and FAST forensic evidence in every case. there never has been, nor will there ever be.
